The delegation with MPs of Belgian parliament, officials of the Belgium, the European Union, European Parliament, public and political, as well as business circles.

The roundtable entitled “Legislation and practice of preparation and organization of democratic elections: experience of Uzbekistan” was held in Brussels.

The participants discussed preparation and organization of the presidential elections, which will be held in Uzbekistan on 4 December 2016. The participants were briefed about legislation of Uzbekistan in the field of election and conditions created for all nominees to conduct their campaigns.

The roundtable also considered with the recent legislative reforms in the judicial and entrepreneurship spheres, etc.

Belgian experts noted that Uzbekistan demonstrates high level of maturity and sustainability in the system of public administration, development of democratic institutes and processes.
