Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The founder of the messaging app Telegram Pavel Durov is under judicial supervision in France, according to a statement from the Paris Prosecutor’s Office.

Pavel Durov is prohibited from leaving France.

He is required to post bail in the amount of five million euros and must report to a police station twice a week.

Durov is accused of six offenses, including administering an online platform for illegal transactions.

He was detained at Paris Le Bourget Airport on 24 August and is currently in custody for questioning in connection with a case opened on July 8 against an unnamed individual on suspicion of 12 crimes.
