Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 10 March 2025, ahead of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to France, the Uzbek-French Tourism Forum was held at the "Intercontinental" hotel in Paris. The forum was organized by the Tourism Committee and included a presentation titled "Uzbekistan – the Pearl of the Silk Road."

The forum gathered 120 participants, including representatives from the French State Tourism Administration, business circles from both countries, diplomats, tourism industry experts, and media representatives. The primary goal was to strengthen tourism ties between Uzbekistan and France, develop partnerships between entrepreneurs, and increase the flow of tourists to Uzbekistan.

During the presentation, attendees were introduced to the prospects for tourism development in Uzbekistan, infrastructure modernization efforts, and new initiatives aimed at creating comfortable conditions for tourists.

Uzbekistan Airways showcased its logistical capabilities, current routes, and plans to expand flight geography, emphasizing its role in the development of the tourism sector.

Special attention was given to B2B meetings, where Uzbek and French companies established business connections, discussed cooperation opportunities, and signed agreements aimed at increasing tourist flows.

French tour operators were also provided with information about tourism reforms, new attractions, and upgraded infrastructure in Uzbekistan, as well as the country's rich cultural heritage.

Guests of the forum were treated to a cultural program featuring national songs and dances that showcased Uzbekistan's centuries-old traditions. Participants also had the opportunity to sample traditional Uzbek dishes, prepared by professional chefs.

The forum was a significant step in developing tourism ties between Uzbekistan and France, opening new opportunities for deepening cooperation and implementing joint projects.
