Pakhtakor restored their seven-point lead at the top of the Uzbekistan league standings with a 3-1 win over Shurtan on Sunday.
Alexander Kletskov gave the defending champions the lead after just nine minutes before Alexander Geynrikh doubled Pakhtakor’s advantage 12 minutes later.
Ilhom Suyunov added a third 14 minutes into the second half leaving Alexey Klikunov’s goal in the final minute as little more than a consolation for Shurtan.
Pakhatkor’s win moves them seven points clear of second-placed Kuruvchi, who defeated Navbakhor 4-1 on Saturday.
In Sunday’s other game Dilyaver Vaniev scored seven minutes from time to steer third placed Mash’al six points clear of Neftchi, who remain in fourth.
