Pakhtakor eliminated from AFC Champions League after defeat to Al Hilal
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Tashkent-based Pakhtakor has ended its campaign in the AFC Champions League, bowing out at the Round of 16 stage.
In the second-leg match against Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal, the Uzbek side suffered a 0-4 defeat. Goals for the Riyadh-based club were scored by Hamad Al-Yami, Malcom, Salem Al-Dawsari, and Nasser Al-Dawsari. This victory secured Al Hilal’s place in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
Despite winning the first leg 1-0, Pakhtakor was eliminated on aggregate, bringing its quest for the trophy to an end.
