Guus Hiddink side dominated in the first half and had several chances to score, but goalkeeper Timur Juraev denied them.

In the second half, Bojan Milodinovic netted the goal after corner kick. Anzhi players tried to score equalizer, but Pakhtakor defense coped with pressure.

Anzhi website noted that Pakhtakor is inconvenient opponents of the Russian club in training camps. Last year, Anzhi also suffered a 1-0 loss in the hand of the Uzbek club.
