Over 59% of 2010 State Budget to be directed to social sphere

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Over 59% of expenses of the 2010 Uzbekistan State Budget will be directed to social sphere, the Uzbek President Islam Karimov said in his New Year congratulation.

“To develop healthcare and educational sectors alone, more than 50% of the state budget will be directed. For the development of healthcare, 1.7 trillion soums have been allocated, which is 30% more than in 2009”, the Uzbek President said.

“Such attention, such attitude to the needs of social sector development can rarely be met in the world practice”, he added.
