A group of doctors and members of working group, on organization of hajj, travelled to Saudi Arabia with the pilgrims.
On the same day, it is planned to send another 250 pilgrims from Tashkent, the press service of the Committee on religion affairs. Overall, it is planned that over 5,080 pilgrims from Uzbekistan to perform Hajj.
This year, it is also planned to send pilgrims from airports of Bukhara, Namangan, Samarkand, Termez, Urgench and Qarshi to create comfort for pilgrims from these regions.
Before departure, pilgrims were vaccinated against neisseria meningitides and influenza. They also received materials on pilgrimage rituals.
The committee said that hotels, near sacred places of Medina and Mecca, were rented for pilgrims from Uzbekistan. During pilgrimage, Uzbek citizens will stay three days and four days in Medina and visit Mecca to perform Hajj rituals.
Pilgrims from Uzbekistan will return home during November, the committee said.
