UzA reported quoting Yuldashev that over 4 million head of cattle and pets have been vaccinated in 80 districts and cities of Uzbekistan, which are bordered with neighbouring states to prevent spread of various diseases.
He said that over 500,000 dogs were registered and vaccinated against rabies.
He noted that the system on permission of cargo, pet and veterinary control products import was introduced.
Nurbek Yoldashev said Uzbekistan banned import of 200 kg of meat and meat products, 500 kg milk and dairy goods in past period of 2012. Over 35,000 vehicles were disinfected. He said Uzbekistan regularly analysis epizootic situation.
