Motor transport carried out 384.4 million passengers in the reporting period and passenger turnover grew by 7.8% to 4.294 billion pass-km, the committee said.
It added that the number of passengers carried by railway transport has increased by 1.3% and made up 1.2 million persons. The passenger turnover has increased by 5.8% to 212 million pas-km.
The committee said over 0.1 million persons were carried by air transport, which is 15.2% more than in January 2010. The passenger turnover was 430.5 million pass-km or 15.1% higher than in January 2010.
Passenger transportation carried out by trolleybuses, trams and underground has decreased by 71.9%, 22% and 3.7% respectively, the committee said.
