Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Over 2.4 million tourists visited Uzbekistan in January-July, increasing last year’s figures by 2.2 times (in the same of period last year there were 1.3 million).

According to statistics for the first seven months of this year, the largest number of tourists from neighboring countries such as Kazakhstan - over 700 thousand people, from Kyrgyzstan - over 650 thousand people, from Tajikistan - over 630 thousand people; as well as citizens of the following countries:

- Russia - 247.2 thousand people;

- Turkey - 38.6 thousand people;

- Korea - 8.4 thousand people;

- Germany - 8 thousand people;

- USA - 6.3 thousand people;

- India - 5.2 thousand people;

- France - 5.2 thousand people;

- Azerbaijan - 5.1 thousand people;

- Israel - 5 thousand people;

- Great Britain - 4.7 thousand people;

- Italy - 3 thousand people;

- Spain - 2.5 thousand people.
