Over 180m people watch documentary film on Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- TV channel Russia 1 showed a documentary film “Uzbekistan. Pearl of sands” on Saturday, 18 October. The documentary tells about history of Uzbekistan, its monuments and great people.

The film was shot by Masterskaya cinema company. The film was shot in Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. Representatives of National Association of Electronic Mass media of Uzbekistan helped the Russian crew to shoot the film.

The film includes footages on production of shoi fabric, famous Samarkand paper, unique taste of Uzbek pilaf and bread.

The documentary film said that Great Silk Road passed Uzbekistan and linked between Europe and Asia. Famous scientists like Ibn Sino, Beruniy and Ulugbek, and others were born here. The film also focuses on role of the country to development of modern civilization.

The documentary film will can be watched on the website Russia.tv and its archive.
