The press release of the Embassy said that Turkey attracts attention with latest achievements in tourism sector. In 2011, the country was visited by over 31.5 million tourists, and the country claimed the sixth place in the world on inbound tourists and fourth place in Europe.

The release said that Turkey want to increase number of tourists from Uzbekistan, visiting Turkey, and bilateral relations.

According to the embassy, it is expected that over 130,000 tourists from Uzbekistan will visit the country in 2013 and the number of tourists will increase further in future.

The Embassy said that Uzbekistan is attractive place for tourism along with business trips. Turkey expressed great interest in Uzbekistan in this direction and easing visa procedures and increasing of bilateral flights will significantly increase number of tourists from Turkey, visiting Uzbekistan, it added.
