Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — More than 115,600 students in Uzbekistan are officially employed, according to the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction.
Data from the Unified National Labor System indicates that as of now, 115,601 students in the country are working under formal labor contracts.
Of these, 62,125 students (53.7%) are employed in government organizations, while 49,351 (42.7%) work in private companies. Additionally, 4,125 students (3.6%) hold positions in both sectors simultaneously.
Among the employed students, 67,828 (58.7%) are male, and 47,773 (41.3%) are female.
Tashkent leads the regions with the highest number of employed students, totaling 36,729, or 31.8% of the total.
Samarkand region follows with 9,961 students (8.6%), Ferghana region with 9,770 students (8.4%), Tashkent region with 8,943 students (7.7%), and Kashkadarya region with 8,310 students (7.2%).
