Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 18 May, in honor of the International Museum Day, Uzbekistan is hosting an Open Doors Day. The opening ceremony of the "International Museum Day" was held at the State Art Museum of Uzbekistan. 

The event was opened by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abdukhakimov, Director of the Cultural Heritage Agency under the Ministry Shakhriyor Nurulloev and other officials.

On this day, the entrance fee to the exhibition space of museums has been canceled. On this day, dozens of festive programs and the opening of new exhibitions are planned in the museums of Uzbekistan.
