Online Uzbek dancing courses are gaining in popularity

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Last Sunday, more than 80 people from various parts of the world - from the UK to Australia, took part in the next online lessons in Uzbek national dances, organized by the British-Uzbek Friendship Society and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in London, Dunyo reported.

This time, a master class in classical Uzbek dance “Dilhiroj” was conducted by the teacher of the Tashkent State Higher School of Choreography and Folk Dance Shirin Jalilova, who was assisted by the famous choreographer R. Sadat, soloists and musicians of the state song and dance ensemble “Navbahor” D. Madrahimova, Sh. Kenjebaev and U. Makhkamov.

According to the initiator of the project, senior banker of the EBRD Kamola Makhmudova, both adults and children are looking forward to video tutorials on dances that are held every Sunday under the guidance of talented dance masters from Uzbekistan. Classes raise the mood of people, charge them with energy and positive. At the same time, this is a fun and enjoyable physical exercise, which is very important for maintaining tonus and health in the current sedentary lifestyle under quarantine.

But most importantly, dance classes have become a very popular channel for social communication between people living in different parts of the world, but experiencing common problems as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. During the classes, participants manage to get to know each other, exchange interesting information, support and encourage each other in these difficult moments. Their impressions and comments about dance classes instantly scatter across all social networks.

Dance lessons are held as part of the humanitarian action “Solidarity with Uzbekistan”, which has the noble goal of raising funds to support Uzbekistan’s efforts to combat coronavirus. Today, as part of this campaign, more than 10 thousand US dollars have already been raised in the UK alone.
