The State Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Yusuf Bin Alawai bin Abdullah paid a visit to Uzbekistan on 13-17 May 2010.

During the talks, the sides discussed current affair and perspectives of the Uzbek-Omanian relations in politics, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres.

In particular, the sides confirmed mutual interest in further boosting trade-economic and investment cooperation.

The sides discussed bilateral cooperation in ensuring regional and global security, including establishing peace and stability in Afghanistan, combating international terrorism, perspectives of interaction between countries within the UN, OIC and other international organizations, the statement said.
