Official cars of Namangan khokimiyat violated traffic laws 88 times, fines exceeding 26 million soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Official vehicles of the Namangan Khokimiyat violated traffic rules 88 times, and the amount of overdue fines exceeded 26 million soums. This came as a response to the request of Namangan Khokim Anvar Otakhojaev to the head of the Traffic Police Department of the region, Mansur Gaziev, regarding the dismantling of illegally installed photo and video radars.

In his response, Gaziev reminded that it is the Khokimiyat’s vehicles that regularly violate traffic rules. He pointed out that all cameras were installed in accordance with presidential decrees and government resolutions in areas with high accident rates.

In these zones, over the past year, 156 traffic accidents involving pedestrians occurred, 13 of which resulted in fatalities, while 143 led to injuries. After the installation of radars this year, no fatal cases have been recorded.

Additionally, it was reported that an official car with the state license plate 50 020 DAV, assigned to the mayor of the city, committed 47 traffic violations in 2024 and this year, with unpaid fines amounting to 8 million 170 thousand soums.

Other vehicles of the Khokimiyat violated traffic rules 41 times, with fines totaling 18 million 750 thousand soums. Vehicles of the Khokimiyats of the Davlatabad and Yangin Namangan districts also violated traffic rules 46 times, with overdue fines amounting to 16 million 307 thousand soums.

The head of the Traffic Police Department urged the Khokim to pay attention to the systematic violations of traffic rules by official vehicles and assist in collecting overdue fines.
