The document was adopted for further improving organizational structure of pension provision system, timely financing and payment of pensions and social allowances from off-budget Pension Fund, as well as strengthening control over targeted use of resources, directed at providing pensions to citizens of Uzbekistan.

In line with the decree, divisions of the off-budget under the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan will be created in regions, cities and districts of the country.

From 1 January 2010, the territorial divisions of the off-budget Pension fund will set, finance, register and monitor pension payments, as well as social allowances, compensation and other payments.

Territorial divisions of the off-budget Pension Fund will be created due to transfer of functions and corresponding structures of the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, responsible for complex of issues on pension provision and medical-labour expertise of the citizens.
