Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan midfielder Odil Akhmedov was fined for US$ 10,000 for skipping flash interviews after the match of the 1/8 finals of the Asian Cup with the Australian team.

The decision was adopted by the Disciplinary and Ethical Committee of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

Uzbekistan lost to the Australian team in the match of 1/8 finals of the Asian Cup. The match ended with a score of 0:0. The Australians won in the penalty shootout with the score 4: 2.

The player must pay a fine within 30 days from the date of the announcement of the verdict. In case of repeated violation, more serious sanctions may be imposed, the AFC said.
