In the 2018-2019 school year, 12 schools operate in the republic, where Korean is taught. Compared to the last academic year, the number of such schools increased by 4 units, the press service of the Ministry of Public Education said.
At the same time, the number of classes where Korean is taught has increased from 91 in the 2017-2018 academic year to 153 in the 2018-2019 academic year.
Naturally, the number of schoolchildren who study Korean in the 2018-2019 school year was 5466 children. This figure compared with the 2017-2018 school year increased by 2,728 students.
