The Committee of Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan on information and communication technologies organized the roundtable.

Largest mobile operators of Uzbekistan are MTS-Uzbekistan, UCell and Beeline. All of these three operators render services in GSM standard.

Subscribers’ base of MTS Uzbekistan made up 8.16 million (+7.5%) and Beeline – 4.398 million (+20.8%) at the end of the third quarter of 2010. In mid November, UCell announced that it serves over 7 million subscribers.

Uzbekistan also has two CDMA operators – Uzbektelecom Mobile and Perfectum Mobile. These two companies did not announce number of subscribers.
