Number of internet providers and operators reached 921 in the country, while number of collective internet access points comprised 963.

The report marks the positive tendency in development of Internet access and Internet service providing and observes an increase in the number of Internet users, an introduction of new services, development of national information resources and reduction of Internet access fees. In particular, it is noted that during last year the number of broadband Internet users increased twofold and stated that there were more than 69,000 users.

Majority of the interviewed Internet service providers (73%) believe that a priority in development of Internet-resources should be given to the expansion of educational and learning online resources. Along with this, the report summarizes market players’ opinion on existing development challenges and provides recommendations how to address them.
