Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 1 March 2024, the volume of nonperforming loan in commercial banks of Uzbekistan amounted to 20.85 trillion soums, according to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
According to the regulator, the loan portfolio of banks in Uzbekistan as of this date amounted to 472.41 trillion soums. The share of nonperforming loan in the total loan portfolio of banks amounted to 4.4%.
Nonperforming loan in state banks exceeded 16.14 trillion soums, which is 4.6% of the total volume of loans of state financial institutions (331.15 trillion soums).
Non-state banks have nonperforming loan amounting to 4.71 trillion soums, which is 3.3% of the total volume of their loan portfolio.
Among state-owned banks, the leaders in terms of the volume of nonperforming loan are the National Bank (3.4 trillion soums), the Business Development Bank (2.9 trillion soums) and Uzpromstroybank (2.49 trillion soums).
Among non-state banks, the leaders in this indicator are the Ipoteka Bank (3.02 trillion soums) and Kapitalbank (490 billion soums).
