Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In a few hours the world will recognize the names of the laureates in the field of medicine. And later all the owners of the main awards of the year in physics, chemistry, literature, economics will be known. Well, who was worthy of the Peace Prize, the most prestigious on the planet, will be announced on Friday in Oslo. 318 candidates apply for it. Their names, according to the rules of the Nobel Committee, are kept secret.

This year, the organizers decided not to hold the traditional December ceremony. Instead, it is expected to host a TV version of the awards with online broadcasts from various countries. And one more piece of news: the amount of the prize has grown. Each winner will receive one million one hundred thousand dollars.

According to the Nobel Committee, this year 318 candidates apply for the prize, 211 of them are individuals and 107 are organizations.

On Monday in Stockholm the names of the winners of the prize in medicine will be announced, on Tuesday - in physics, on Wednesday - in chemistry, on Thursday - in literature, on Friday in Oslo the winner of the prize for promoting peace will be announced. The winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics will be named in the Swedish capital on 12 October, Interfax.ru reports.
