New technical university can be opened in Uzbekistan

The university can be created on the base of Tashkent regional state pedagogical institute in Angren city, which was not accepting students for several years.

Currently, Tashkent regional administration in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education is conducting study to determine needs of local enterprises in cadres. Based on the result of this research, it is planned to develop proposal on future of the educational institution.

The most likely scenario is to create technical institute or branch of one of existing universities in Tashkent.

Uzbekistan created Angren special industrial zone and several high technological projects are implemented there, which will require highly skilled and educated employees.
