New Croatian envoy to Uzbekistan appointed
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Croatia with a residence in Ankara Drazen Hrastic was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 7 November 2012.

The Ambassador handed over his credentials, addressed to President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

During the conversation the state and prospective directions of further development of Uzbek-Croatian dialogue were discussed. The parties expressed their belief that accreditation of the Croatian Ambassador in Uzbekistan allows to speed up mutually beneficial links between the two countries.

It was noted that the bilateral relations are distinguished for proximity and concurrence of positions on key issues of international and regional security.

Mutual interest in enhancing cooperations spheres, including creation of stable legal base was also underlined.

It was highlighted that Uzbekistan and Croatia have significant specter of sectors of the economy of mutual interest in terms of developing bilateral trade, deepening investment cooperation, implementation of joint projects.

The sides expressed readiness to render support to exchanges between the educational and research institutions, arts, culture and public organisations of Uzbekistan and Croatia.
