Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held between the delegations of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye and the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan. During the event, the Turkish delegation shared international experiences in combating fraud in payment systems, minimizing cyber risks, and managing information security threats.

Turkish experts detailed the principles behind the national payment infrastructure and revealed key aspects of the FAST instant payment system.

Representatives of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in turn, presented their existing cybersecurity mechanisms in the banking sector, including algorithms for detecting and blocking suspicious transactions, along with statistics demonstrating the effectiveness of these measures.

As a result of the meeting, both sides confirmed their intention to enhance bilateral cooperation in the digitalization of financial services. Special attention will be given to synchronizing efforts for the implementation of instant payment systems and the creation of unified standards to counter cyberattacks that pose a threat to the stability of banking institutions.
