According to the Uzbek bank, NBU signed a loan agreement with the China Development Bank (CDB) for US$250 million.
The loan agreement envisages financing for projects of both large and small and medium-sized business that involve the supply of high-tech equipment to the Republic of Uzbekistan, aimed at creating import-substituting and export-oriented industries.
The credit line of the CDB is available to entrepreneurs of all regions of Uzbekistan, NBU said.
Also, NBU signed a loan agreement with the Export-Import Bank of China worth US$500 million.
The credit line will be used to finance investment projects in Uzbekistan, which envisages supply of high-tech equipment, without any restrictions on the directions of the economic branches.
The documents were signed in Beijing on 5 June on the eve of the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which will be held in China on 9-10 June.
