NBU claimed the first place for the project “Quality management system at the main department of NBU in Tashkent city” in category “Development of human capital”.

The award was handed over at the 33rd Annual Meeting of ADFIAP, which took place in Vancouver, Canada, on 10-12 May 2010.

Main department of NBU in Tashkent city was the first financial institute, which received certificate of International Quality Standard 9001:2000. Germany’s TUV certification body handed over it.

The department focuses on meeting demands of clients. The bank controls all stages of service rendering to avoid mistakes, which can bring to discontent of customers. The department is using various tools for monitoring service quality and customer satisfaction.

ADFIAP was founded on 1 October 1976 and it is regional banks and financial institutions, focusing on financing development of Asia and the Pacific region. Currently, 72 organizations from 35 countries are members in the association. Among members are Asian Development Bank, Islamic Development Bank, World Bank, Japan Development Bank and China Development Bank.

National Bank of Uzbekistan joined the ADFIP in 2000 and entered to ADFIP Directors Board in 2001.
