Navruz celebrated at Syracuse University

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21 March 2019, Navruz was solemnly celebrated at Syracuse University in the United States.

Syracuse University, founded in 1870 and comprised of thirteen schools and colleges, is a private research university in the heart of New York State. It is among the top three universities in the United States in academic programs in the field of public administration and information systems.

Ambassador of Uzbekistan Javlon Vakhabov in his video message congratulated all the participants, the University professors, as well as students, including those from Central Asia, Afghanistan, Turkey and Iran, on Navruz.

The event included a presentation of works of applied art masters, tasting of traditional festive dishes. The guests were presented a gala concert with performance of classical compositions on national musical instruments.

According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington, representatives of Syracuse University are currently in Uzbekistan to discuss the issues of expansion of inter-academic and research cooperation in information technologies and data analysis, public administration and public finance management, international relations and journalism.
