The region also recorded 2.8% growth of industrial output, 5.4% - production of consumer goods, 6.9% - agriculture products. The region harvested 250,000 tonnes of grain and over 110,000 tonnes of cotton.
The volume of construction works in the region grew by 13.2% in nine months of 2013, retail trade turnover – by 15.3% and paid services to population – 13.6%.
The session said that the forecast for regional exports was fulfilled with 3.3% surplus and reached US$31.2 million, which rose 1.5 times year-on-year.
Navoi region attracted foreign loans and investments for 159.5 billion soums in the nine months of 2013, of which 10.4 billion soums were direct foreign investments. In the result, 214 new industrial objects were commissioned.
In the reporting period, 719 new small businesses were created in the region. The bank issued 243.3 billion soums to support small and private businesses in January-September 2013, which rose by 28.1% year-on-year.
The region completed reconstruction and construction of 62 km of roads, 8 km of gas pipelines, 27.4 km of electricity supply lines and 55.5 km of water pipelines. Some 24 billion soums were spent to these works.
It is planned to construct 600 houses at 19 blocks within the programme on construction of individual houses on standard projects in rural areas. It is planned to spend 79 billion soums to the programme. Some 26.5 km of water pipelines, 17.2 km of electricity supply lines and 24.6 km of gas pipelines were constructed at these blocks.
The region created 32,900 new jobs in January-September 2013, of which 24,700 or 75.3% in rural areas. About 24,300 jobs were created by small and private businesses.
The region used 249 billion soums due to all sources within the state programme “The Year of well-being and prosperity”.
The commercial banks issued some 7.6 billion soums of loans to support family businesses, young families and others. The small and microfirms provided jobs for 11,800 women in the reporting period.
