Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The National Pavilion "Uzbekistan" will be organized in cooperation with the Uzbekistan Youth Union, the State Committee for Tourism Development, the National Agency "Uzbekkino", the Center for the Development of Cinematography, the National Film Commission of Uzbekistan and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in France.

The National Film Commission of Uzbekistan has signed a corresponding agreement with the Directorate of the Cannes Film Festival, and now the national pavilion is being organized.

During this prestigious film festival, it is planned to hold events to promote cinema tourism and unique locations of our country, to invite famous film makers to our country to shoot their films. It is also planned to organize a presentation of the V International Film Festival PROlogue, to take part in joint film projects with the participation of world cinema producers and promote our national films to the world market.

The 72nd Cannes International Film Festival will be held on 14-22 May 2019 in the Palace of Festivals and Congresses on the famous Croisette in France.

For the first time the national pavilion of Uzbekistan in Cannes was organized in 2018 by the Uzbekistan Youth Union and the Center for the Development of Cinematography. In February of this year, young filmmakers for the first time participated in the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale), and were able to establish partnerships with many representatives of European cinema.
