The mission of the event is to strengthen aspiration and interest of youth to obtain information independently, familiarize them with new publications in various areas.

The week is organized by the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information, Ministry of Culture and Sport of Uzbekistan, Uzbek Agency for Print and Information, Uzarchive, National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi and others.

INFOLIB-2012 is aimed at popularizing of reading, improving level of information culture, contributing to development of national content in internet, and improving information-library service.

Within INFOLIB-2012, it is planned to organize various meetings, exhibitions, fairs, master classes, conferences and other events, the organizers said.
