Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The National Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed loan agreements with German financial institutions.

In particular, the National Bank of Uzbekistan and Deutsche Bank AG entered into a loan agreement to attract a credit line in the amount of 130 million euros.

Due to the credit line, the National Bank of Uzbekistan will finance projects of transport, mining and metallurgy, electrical industry and production for a total project amount of 185 million euros.

The implementation of these projects will improve the transport infrastructure and expand the industrial production of enterprises, including the creation of more than 1,000 new jobs and the export of high value-added products in the amount of over 20 million euros.

The National Bank of Uzbekistan and Landesbank Baden-Württemberg also signed a cooperation agreement to attract a credit line in the amount of 100 million euros.

The agreement will allow the National Bank, on exclusive terms, to attract long-term and concessional financing for investment projects, including in the field of the textile industry and alternative energy, under the cover of the Euler Hermes export credit agency.
