Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the National Agency for Project Management under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in the International Forum on Digital Economics and Blockchain Technology, which was held in Haikou (PRC) from 5 to 6 December.

The forum was held on the territory of the Hainan Free Economic Zone, which established the first specialized pilot zone in China to develop and implement innovative technologies (artificial intelligence, big data, the Internet of things, blockchain) and implement promising projects based on them, mainly in the real sector economics (industry, agriculture, medicine). In addition to government bodies, organizations and companies of China, the Forum was also attended by experts and experts from countries such as Japan, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Gibraltar, Indonesia, Switzerland and others. The forum has become an active discussion platform for the exchange of experience in the development of blockchain technology, digital assets and the digital economy as a whole.

During the visit, the delegation of the Agency also held working meetings with the directorates of the special zones “Hainan Resort Software Community Group”, “Hainan Free Trade Zone Blockchain Pilot Zone”, as well as representatives of the companies “Innovation Intelligence Union Group Company”, “Huobi Group”, “WeiZhongJie ”, Got acquainted with the activities of the“ Oxford-Hainan Blockchain Research Institute ”and the innovative high school“ iSchool ”.

Following the visit, the parties agreed to work out the implementation of potential projects in the field of the digital economy and the development of blockchain technology in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
