One of the first meetings was held in Ferghana. Over 40 NGOs from Navoi region participated at the meeting out of 60 operating in the region. One of organizers, Institute for Studying Civil Society said that large number of participants shows intention of organization to attract large number of organizations to solving socially important problems. Besides, NGOs showed their readiness to consolidate and fruitful cooperation among each other and state structures. NANGNCO helps to establish cooperation. The participants of the conference determined tasks for perspective and upcoming works’ plans.

Main tasks for NANGNCO remains further uniting NGOs, coordination their activity, information support of NGOs and public initiatives, participation in development of draft laws on civil society.

The participants discussed issues of professional development of NGO heads, establishment of contacts with state bodies, as well as improving works on increasing social activity of population.

Ms. Salmanova, head of regional branch of Tadbirkor Ayol, said for five years from creation of NANGNCO, the association did huge work on supporting Ferghana NGOs, including grant support.
