The meeting considered issues on introducing changes to charter of the association, changes and amendments to internal regulation of the Association, plans for 2010 and others.
Representatives of microcredit organizations and credit unions of Uzbekistan, members of the NAMOCU, state bodies, banks and NGOs participated at the work of the session.
Participants considered issue of reorganizing NAMOCU for further improving its activity and implementing its main tasks on ensuring sustainable growth of social-economic conditions of population through stimulating development of credit system.
It is planned to include employees of state structures and public organizations, as well as banks to the Public Council of the Association to improve efficiency of the organization.
Public Council is highest body of the Association and created to manage and determine priorities of the activity of the association, approve strategic actions, etc.
The meeting also reviewed a project on creation of the Fund on support of non-banking credit organizations, which will be founded to rendering financial support to young families and young businesses, microfinance organizations, providing warranty to deposits of citizens at credit unions.
It was underlined that 43 organizations became members of the association, including 22 credit unions and 21 microcredit organizations.
Aggregate assets comprised 52.2 billion soums as of 1 January 2010, of which 47.8 billion soums fell to share of credit unions and 4.4 billion soums to microcredit organizations. It was said that at the end of the aggregate assets of the Association members was 27.9 billion soums at the end of 2008. The growth rate was 87%.
Total volume of NAMOCU members at the end of 2009 made up 12.8 billion soums against 6.5 billion soums in 2008. The growth rate was 97%.
The size of loan portfolio of the Association increased by 84% year-on-year in 2009 to 46.1 billion soums. Aggregate deposit portfolio of the credit unions comprised 35.3 billion soums against 19 billion soums in 2008.
