Namangan khokimiyat makes a proposal to amend the Family Code

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Namangan regional khokimiyat made a proposal to amend the Family Code in terms of the obligation to draw up a marriage contract between the spouses.

In accordance with it, marriage between persons, who have not drawn up a marriage contract, will not be registered by the registry offices.

A marriage contract is an agreement of persons entering into marriage, or an agreement of spouses, defining property rights and obligations of spouses in marriage and in the event of dissolution of marriage. At present its drafting is voluntary.
