Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the first day of the competition of the International Solidarity Weightlifting Championship in the weight category, Uzbek athlete Muattar Nabiyeva (-55 kg) won second place.

In a snatch, Nabieva lifted a barbell weighing 89 kg, and in the clean and jerk - 111 kg and thus chalked up three silver medals. After the performance, the talented athlete shared her views.

“My main goal in this championship was to win a gold medal, so I always try to be the first. But unfortunately, due to injuries, I did not reach my goal. There is another competition ahead that will be held in the month of April in Kazakhstan. There is also the opportunity to record Tokyo 2020 rating points on your account. I hope that in this competition I will win gold,” said Muattar Nabieva.
