M&TVA award ceremony takes place in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An award ceremony of the Sixth national award of Uzbekistan in music, television- and video-art M&TVA was held in Tashkent on 22 December 2012.

Annual ceremony is held for the seventh time this year to promote outstanding achievements in music, television- and video-art.

The goal of M&TVA award is to select and encourage the most outstanding representatives of various fields that have made significant contributions to the development of Uzbekistan’s culture and arts.

Shortlist of nominees was developed via Internet and SMS-voting among citizens of Uzbekistan. Winners were selected on 17 nominations by professional jury, which included culture and art workers.

According to the decision of jury, Rayhon was named as the best female singer, while Jahongir Pazildjanov won in the nomination “The Best male singer”.

Composition “Hay-hay, Qizaloq!” was named as the best soundtrack of 2012 and Shakhzoda’s Tuqilib was announced as the best song of the year.

Award in nomination “The best band of the year” went too Ummon, while Shukrat Zakirov was announced as the winner in nomination “The Best music composition”. Shokhrukhon’s Muhabbatnoma was selected as the best video clip of the year.

Ziyovyddin Ahmadjonov (Zamin-FM) won in the nomination “The best radio anchor” and Oybek Rikhsibekov of TVM – in nomination “The best TV anchor”.

Forum-TV’s “Forum Habarlari” programme claimed top prize in nomination “The best design of TV project”, while TVM’s “Oshga Marhamat 2” won in nomination “The best TV programme of the year”.

Alisher Uzakov clinched M&TVA award in nomination “The best actor of the year” and Severa Solieva – in nomination “The best actress of the year”. Yolqin To’ychiyev was named as the best director of 2012.

The best film of the year award went to the film “Endi dadam buydoq” directed by Alisher Uzoqov, while Art Week Style-uz 2012 was named at the best event of 2012.

Veterans of Uzbek cinematography – actor Obid Yunusov, director Tamara Kamalova and producer Karim Aburakhmanov were also awarded with honourable awards for their contribution to development of culture and art of Uzbekistan.
