MTS Uzbekistan not to charge subscribers during license suspension period
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzdubrobita (MTS Uzbekistan trade mark) stated that it will do its best to solve issues related with suspension of its license for rendering mobile communication sevices.

The company said it stops rendering mobile communication services for ten days in line with the decree of the regulator and it will do its best to solve the issue.

The operator expressed its appreciation to subscribers for their understating of the current situation.

MTS Uzbekistan said that the subscribers will keep their number, subscriber services and money at their accounts and they will keep them. The operator said that it will not charge subscribers during the period.

At the same time, MTS Uzbekistan subscribers started to buy sim-cards of other operators – Beeline and Ucell. Sales offices of these operators are full with people, who want to buy new cards. Similar situation can be also observed at Paynet offices and central sales offices of operators.

Beeline and Ucell said that subscribers can use their inactive sim-cards, which were in blocked status up to three months. According to operators, these subscribers should put money to their accounts.

Ucell said that its own sales offices will work from 8:00 to 24:00 without lunch time, while dealers will work till the last client. Beeline said it will accept subscribers from 8:00 to 22:00 without lunch time.

As reported earlier, Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information suspended license of MTS Uzbekistan for 10 working days.

The license is suspended for repeated and systematic gross violations, non-fulfillment of orders of controlling body, the regulator said in its statement.

UzACI said that the license will be suspended from 18:00 of 17 July 2012.

MTS Uzbekistan is largest mobile communication operator and it serves over 9.53 million subscribers.
