MTS Uzbekistan launches new GPRS packages, cuts prices

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- MTS Uzbekistan, 100% subsidary of Russia’s Mobile TeleSystems and largest mobile operator of Uzbekistan, launched two new GPRS-packages – Internet 500 and Internet 1000, as well as decreased the cost of existing GPRS packages.

The company said it offers new packages for active users of mobile Internet. Now, the company offers five GPRS-packages, which provide flexible and wide selection to mobile Internet users.

Along with launch of new GPRS-packages, the operator cut prices to existing Internet packages.

Nuriddin Shadmanov, deputy director-general on commmerce of MTS Uzbekistan, said: “Mobile access to Internet is becoming more demanded among our subscribers and today we propose them more beneficial terms for access to Internet resources. We are sure that popularity of data transfer service will continue to grow and comfortable mobile Intenet on beneficial price will occupy our niche in additional services’ market.”

The company said it is possible to connect two GPRS packages simelteniously to one handset. Each package is active for 30 days.
