Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Subscribers’ base of MTS-Uzbekistan, largest mobile operator of Uzbekistan, grew 3.5% in November 2008 compared to October 2008. The company registered 180,000 new subscribers in November.

Number of subscribers increased from 5.31 million in October to 5.49 million in November.

MTS-Uzbekistan is part of Russia’s Mobile TeleSystems, which is one of the largest mobile operators in the CIS.

Number of mobile users in Uzbekistan reached 11.595 million as of 1 November or increased by 96.9% or 5.7 million people compared to the beginning of 2008.
