Number of subscribers of Uzdunrobita, using MTS-Uzbekistan brand, reached 2 million point, the company said. Uzdunrobita is the largest mobile operator in Uzbekistan in terms of subscribers’ number and its market share is over 50%.

At the beginning of this year Uzdunrobita had 1.45 million subscribers, and within half a year their number has grown by 38%. The company’s client base has grown twice within less than a year (the company had 1 million subscribers in September last year).

Uzdunrobita was the first company in the Uzbek market for mobile communication services, and for years it has been among the first to introduce the most advanced and popular additional services.

Today, apart from the traditional phone connection, the subscribers are offered a range of services, such as SMS, MMS, WAP, GPRS, international roaming in over 136 countries, and other.

The company has the largest network in the country. Moreover, it has received the license for the 3G and WiMAX networks, and as soon as next year the company plans to launch them.
