MTS Uzbekistan expands number of intrl roaming partners
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
MTS Uzbekistan, largest mobile communication operator of Uzbekistan and 100% subsidiary of Mobile TeleSystems, expanded list of roaming partners in May 2011.
In May 2011, the company launched international 3G roaming at networks of four operators – MTN Irancell (Iran), Mfone (Cambodia), TMN (Portugal), Zain (Sudan). It is worth note that the speed of data transfer can reach 3.6 Mbps.
Currently, MTS Uzbekistan subscribers, supporting UMTS (HSDPA) standard, can use high speed data transfer service using 3G roaming at the network of 126 operators in 80 countries.
From May 2011, subscribers of operator can use GPRS roaming at networks of BaykalWestCom (Russia), MTN Irancell (Iran), Mfone (Cambodia). So, currently GPRS roaming is accessible at the networks of 165 operators in 95 countries.
At the same time, MTS Uzbekistan can use international voice roaming services at the networks of 350 operators in 180 countries.
