MTS Uzbekistan expands geography of international roaming
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
MTS Uzbekistan, largest mobile telecommunication operator of Uzbekistan and 100% subsidiary of Russia’s Mobile TeleSystems OJSC, added five new operators to list of roaming partners in June 2011.
The operator said that it added three operators to list of international 3G roaming partners in June. They are KaR-Tel LLC (Kazakhstan), VOX Hola (Paraguay), Digitel (Philippines). It is worth note that the speed of data transfer can reach 3.6 Mbps.
Currently, MTS Uzbekistan subscribers, supporting UMTS (HSDPA) standard, can use high speed data transfer service using 3G roaming at the network of 127 operators in 81 countries.
At the same time, subscribers of MTS Uzbekistan can use international GPRS roaming service at networks of Digitel (Philippines) and VOX Hola (Paraguay). So, currently GPRS roaming is accessible at the networks of 166 operators in 97 countries.
At the same time, MTS Uzbekistan can use international voice roaming services at the networks of 351 operators in 180 countries.
