MTS Uzbekistan broadens roaming services in March
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Largest mobile communication operator, MTS Uzbekistan, expanded list of roaming-partners in March 2010, signing agreements with 18 mobile operators worldwide.

The company said international 3G roaming are available for MTS Uzbekistan subscribers in networks of 11 more mobile operators from March, including T-Mobile (Czech Republic), ArmenTel (Armenia), DU (UAE), Dialog Telekom (Sri-Lanka), Swisscom (Switzerland), Avea (Turkey), Vodafone (Hungary), Wataniya (Maldives), Globe Telecom (Philippines), Vodafone (Portugal) and DiGi Telecommunications (Malaysia). Currently, MTS Uzbekistan subscribers can use international 3G roaming at the network of 48 operators in 40 countries of the world.

In March 2010, the company also signed agreements on GPRS roaming with Network (Norway), Bakcell (Azerbaijan) and Si.mobil (Slovenia). In the result, the number of GPRS roaming partners reached 111 operators in 65 countries.

The operator also said international voice roaming is available at the networks of Africell (Sierra Leone), Network (Norway), ZAIN (MTS) (Kuwait), Alfa Telecom and Nur Telecom (Kyrgyz Republic). Currently, the operator has international voice roaming in networks of 323 operators in 172 countries.
