Mobile TeleSystems OJSC of Russia said on 18 September that its Uzbek branch, MTS-Uzbekistan (former Uzdunrobita), increased its subscribers’ base by 7.3% in September compared to August.

The release of company said the subscribers’ base rose by 150,000 users from 2.03 million in August 2007 to 2.18 million in September.

MTS-Uzbekistan is largest mobile operator of Uzbekistan in terms of number of subscribers. The company fully owned by MTS.
