The two-day workshop will be attended by radiologists whose job is to determine the age of the players prior to the commencement of the competition.
Twelve radiologists on the AFC Panel of Experts for Age Determination will be the instructors in the course.
AFC has recently sent letters to Member Associations asking them to nominate their respective radiologists to participate in the course.
Age testing is used by AFC in its age-group tournaments to look out for players whose passports and birth certificates fail to reflect their true birth dates.
In most age-group competitions, overage players have been fielded and this is in contradiction to the ethics and fair play of sport.
Hosts Uzbekistan, Australia, China, DPR Korea, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Syria, Tajikistan, Timor Leste, UAE and Vietnam will vie for the top honours in the AFC U-16 Championship.
